I want to replace the factory front speakers but do not want to cut or tap into any wires (cutting the wire to the tweeter in the pillar OK) and. I've used this same setup on multiple F150s as well as a brand new Mustang and it always works great. This is the exact setup that I'm using for my 2021. If the head unit is on and providing power to the line output converter and the speakers are sending a signal to it then it will keep the amp on and therefore the subs working just fine whether or not the engine is running. I use a Scosche line output converter that also provides a remote turn-on signal to the amp based purely on whether or not it's receiving a signal from the speakers. The reason is because of the way that I prefer to install my subs. What GoHawks spent for his upgrades would have likely cost Ford 100 en masse to upgrade and do the stereo even a lot better. I had 2 10" subs in my last 2017 and the start/stop never was a problem at all. I went over the top on my stereo and dont really regret it, but this thread shows that someone can upgrade just the speakers and make a big improvement. I have the stock 302a package and would be interested in the "best" replacement speakers to get some better quality audio.If the subs are installed correctly the start/stop isn't an issue. Spent some quality time with the truck and got the first phase of the stereo upgrade done. I don’t mind spending extra if it has a good reward but I’m leaning to do a stereo replacement and adding a sub/amp or something. I don’t need to go crazy just looking for a good bang for my buck. From what I can tell it has the lower end Ford radio, compared to my friends 2017.
